OUR APPROACH

SHAPING DIRECTION

Getting clear on what matters — and what to do next

When direction feels unclear, values are pulling in different directions or evidence points to multiple options, it can be hard to know where to focus.

We help teams:

  • Make sense of complex or conflicting evidence
  • Surface what really matters to different stakeholders
  • Align around clear priorities and shared intent
  • Decide what to do next — and what not to do

This work can include strategy development, options appraisal, facilitated workshops and sense-making sessions that bring people into the same conversation.

Most valuable when:
you’re at an early stage or point of change and need clarity on priorities and next steps.

We worked with The Hyndburn Way partnership to map mental health support for young people across one of the most deprived areas of the UK — bringing services, referral routes and lived experience together into a shared picture of the system.

The focus wasn’t just on what existed, but on how people actually moved through support, where pressure points sat and where decisions were getting stuck.

This gave leaders and partners a clearer basis for prioritisation, coordination and investment — grounded in evidence and the realities of people’s lives.

navigating DELIVERY

Turning strategy into decisions that work in the real world

When direction is set and there’s momentum to act, delivery needs structure, coordination and clear decision-making.

We work alongside teams to:

  • Translate strategic intent into deliverable programmes
  • Design approaches to delivery that work across complex systems
  • Bring partners, funders and delivery teams into alignment
  • Support leaders to make informed, defensible decisions as delivery unfolds

This work often includes leading discrete projects, coordinating partners, facilitating key decision points and providing the analytical and relational glue that keeps delivery moving.

Most valuable when:
the direction is set, but delivery involves real trade-offs, coordination and high-stakes decisions.
